Rules for the Children's Guardians Zone in the Wroclaw University Library
I. General provisions
- Children's Guardians Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Zone") is a separate space intended for users of the Wroclaw University Library – Guardians taking care of children.
- A guardian is any Library's user who is the legal guardian of a child and uses the Zone in the child's company.
- Children up to 8 years of age are allowed in the Zone, and in special cases, with the librarian's consent, children over 8 years of age, under the constant and direct care of a Guardian.
- Guardians are obliged to personally supervise children and bear full responsibility for their safety..
- The Zone is available during the opening hours of the Wroclaw University Library.
- Staying in the Zone constitutes acceptance of these regulations and the Library's Order Regulations.
II. Rules for using the Zone
- The Zone is a space designated for quiet work. Please maintain silence and respect the comfort of other users.
- Children must remain under the direct care and supervision of a Guardian at all times.
- Library employees do not supervise children and are not responsible for their safety.
- Eating is not permitted in the Zone. Beverages may only be consumed in sealed bottles or cups.
- It is permitted to bring your own toys, books, and educational materials into the Zone after presenting them to a librarian, provided they meet safety requirements and do not emit noise or otherwise disrupt the peace and order of the library. The Library is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
- Guardians are obliged to maintain cleanliness in the Zone and place waste in the containers designated for this purpose.
- Used child hygiene products (e.g. diapers, wipes) should be placed in dedicated containers in the changing areas located in the library toilets.
- After finishing using the books and educational materials provided in the Zone, they must be returned to the designated place.
- It is prohibited to take out the Zone equipment, including books and educational materials, except for items clearly marked for borrowing.
- It is prohibited to use the Zone equipment in a way that may endanger the safety of children or other users.
- 11. Any damage or dirt noticed should be reported to library employees immediately.
- 13. In the event of an accident, library employees must be notify immediately.
- 13. In the event of non-compliance with the regulations or disruption of order, library employees have the right to ask the user to comply with the rules or leave the Zone.
III. Liability and Limitations
- The Library is not responsible for personal items left in the Zone.
- Any damage to library equipment, furniture or materials must be reported to library employees immediately.
- Guardians are financially responsible for any damage or destruction to the Zone's equipment caused by themselves or the children under their care.
IV. Final Provisions
- The Library reserves the right to make changes to these regulations.
- Any questions or concerns regarding the operation of the Zone should be directed to library employees.
- 3. In matters not regulated in these regulations, the general rules and regulations as well as Order regulations of the Wroclaw University Library at ul. F. Joliot-Curie 12 St. shall apply.
