About Library - General information

The Wroclaw University Library has two buildings: general collections (monographs) and basic circulation departments, e.g. Main Reading Room, Local Lending Department and Interlibrary Lending Department are located in the building on Karola Szajnochy 7/9 St., special collections with Special Collections’ Reading Room, Reprographic and Digitization Unit and Special Collections’ Conservation Workshop, as well as Informatory, Current and Archive Periodicals Reading Room as well as Silesian Collection Reading Room, Workshop for New Collections’ Conservation, acquisition and cataloging departments, computer section and server room, the Director’s Office, Administration as well as conference and exhibition rooms are located on Fryderyka Joliot-Curie 12 St.

Building on K. Szajnochy 7/9 St. is architectural landmark and was also used for library purposes before the World War II.

In the new Library’s building on Fryderyk Joliot-Curie 12 St. – after moving will be completed – all Library’s collections (special and general) and its functional departments will be merged.
