Statista invites to a free online workshop titled "AI risks and how to handle them," taking place on November 5th, 2026, 10:00 a.m. During the session, participants will learn about the key risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence, as well as practical methods for identifying and mitigating them. Participation is free of charge, and registered attendees will receive access to a recording of the event.

We invite academic employees, PhD students, and students to participate in the event.

The Wroclaw University Library invites you to an exhibition titled “Books Are Our Weapon: 800 Years of the Dominicans in Wroclaw,” which explores the centuries-long presence of the Order of Preachers in the capital of Lower Silesia and the extraordinary role that books have played in their work.

• Monday, Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Locker keys will be available in the Local Lending Department (Level I)

We inform our Users, that from 19.10.2026, keys for self-service lockers will be issued in the Local Lending Department on Level 1.

We would like to inform our Users, that Elsevier has offered free trial access to Scopus AI for all institutions covered by Elsevier's national license in Poland from October 13th to November 18th, 2026.

The Wrocław University Library informs that it cooperates with the law firm DSK Depa Szmit Kuźmiak Jackowski, limited partnership (based in Poznan; KRS 0000792556, NIP 7792437471, REGON 363268129) regarding the recovery of outstanding amounts related to the late return of library materials and other financial obligations owed to the Wroclaw University Library and the specialized libraries of the University of Wrocław.

The Wroclaw University Library informs Users, that trial access to specialist resources of the Korea Risk Group publishing house, devoted to North and South Korea issues, has been lunched.

As part of the trial, two information and research services are available:

1. NK PRO – a comprehensive platform dedicated to North Korea, including political and economic analyses, expert reports, databases, statistics and tools for monitoring the most important events and processes taking place in the region.

We inform our User, that from 1.10.2026 in Wroclaw University Library new rules for using computer workstations and electronic resources are in effect.
