Wratislaviana’s catalog

The catalog provides information about separated collection of Wratislaviana from the former Wroclaw’s City Library. This collection, also know as “Ygreks” from the first letters of call numbers, is stored accordingly to historical subject order. Despite being merged into Silesian-Lusatian Cabinet’ Collection, information regarding Ygreks’ collection was not included into traditional card catalog. Part of this collection has bibliographical descriptions in WUL’s Electronic Catalog (Wratislaviana’s tab). Two volumes of printed catalogs, published in years 1903 and 1915 by Heinrich Wendt, with later supplements are primary information source about separated Wratislaviana collection.

Wratislaviana collection is bibliographically heterogeneous and includes, inter alia, manuscripts, old prints, new prints and items that can be called documents of social life (e.g. tickets, invitations, posters). Part of items in Wendt’s catalog has full bibliographical descriptions, others - collective description for the several items. Catalog reflects structure of collection, e.g. its subject structure and is supplemented with index of persons and a subject index.
