The University of Wrocław's Department of Literature Didactics, the Literary Translation Workshop of the Institute of German Philology and the Austrian Library of the University of Wroclaw invite you to a unique literary event.

The guest of the meeting will be Kaśka Bryla, who will present fragments of her latest novel "Mein Vater, der Gulag, die Krähe und ich" (2025).

The meeting will be led by Dr. Krzysztof Huszcza (University of Wrocław).

Kaśka Bryla is a Polish-Austrian novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, writing in German. Her work explores themes of memory, identity, migration, and the history of Central and Eastern Europe. She is known for her distinctive style and courage in tackling difficult topics, often connecting personal experiences with broader social and historical contexts.
