The process of transferring users’ data from traditional paper files to the electronic library system ALMA is underway

The Wrocław University Library informs that the process of transferring users’ data from traditional paper files to the electronic library system ALMA is underway. The aim of this operation is to improve users’ service, increase data security, and introduce a uniform documentation method across the whole network of the University of Wrocław libraries.

The data transfer is being carried out according to the effective personal data security regulations while respecting the following rules:

• only the extent of data that is required to provide services is being processed;
• the introduced ALMA system is a necessary tool for the proper functioning of library services, including the management of the process of lending and conserving collections.
