ATTENTION - Limitation of the opening hours 30-31.03.2021
Limitation of the opening hours of the University Library 30-31.03.2021 .
We inform our Users that due to the increase in the epidemiological threat in the country (Regulation of the Council of Ministers from March 19th current year) and based on the recommendations of the National Library, WUL’s reading rooms and the Informatory will be closed from March 22nd current year until further notice.
The Local Lending Department and Free Access area will be open for Users according to the following schedule:
- Monday, Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday: closed.
The usage of the Open Access areas is possible only to borrow library materials. From the materials that are available only locally, it will be possible to order scans in accordance with the rules available on the website: https://www.bu.uni.wroc.pl/en/tresc/rules-scanning-librarys-materials.
Orders for copies of library materials can be placed on site in the Open Access area or by e-mail to the Scientific Information Department: oin.bu[w]uwr.edu.pl (sw[dot]bu[at]uwr[dot]edu[dot]pl). Using the library materials from the A and Z divisions located in the Main Reading Room is possible after prior contact with the Reading Room employees.
The collections ordered from the general storage to the Main Reading Room, the Current and Archive Periodicals Reading Room and from the Silesian storage to the Silesian Collection Reading Room (with the exception of the historic collections) before March 22nd, will be left in these agendas until March 31st current year. Users who would like to view these materials in the FA area and decide to order copies, should contact the appropriate reading room:

In order to ensure the comfort of using the University Library's departments and taking care of the safety of both users and staff, please follow the sanitary rules in the Library building described on our website: Rules for the use of the WUL's departments as well as at the entrance to the Library building. People going to FA areas should leave their outerwear and bags in the cloakroom. Users who already borrowed library’s materials should leave the Library building.
