Web of Science (WoS) is Clarivate's multidisciplinary scientific information platform, enabling publication search, citation analysis, and research impact assessment.
Under the national license, users of the University of Wrocław have access to:
- Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, CPCI, BKCI, ESCI),
- Web of Science Citation Connection (inter alia: BIOSIS Citation Index, Data Citation Index, Zoological Record),
- Journal Citation Reports (JCR),
- Essential Science Indicators (ESI),
- InCites Benchmarking & Analytics,
Additionally, MEDLINE, Preprint Citation Index, SciELO Citation Index, ProQuest Dissertation & Theses Citation Index, as well as EndNote Web, EndNote Click, and Web of Science Researcher Profiles are available..
The platform includes over 24,000 scientific journals, over 157,000 books, over 315,000 conference proceedings and approximately 257 million bibliographic records.
Bibliometric tools:
- Journal Citation Reports (JCR) enables analysis of scientific journals, including Journal Impact Factor (JIF) and Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) indicators.
- Essential Science Indicators (ESI) allows to identify the most influential publications, authors and scientific institutions.
- InCites Benchmarking & Analytics supports the analysis of scientific achievements, research collaboration and the preparation of bibliometric reports.
Access and Login
Access to the database is possible:
- from computers located in the University of Wrocław's network,
- remotely via the WUL's proxy system.
Using the database does not require creating an individual account, but its creation allows you to save search results, create alerts and access additional tools supporting scientific work and the analysis of publications.
