Rules for the use of the WUL's reading rooms and Informatory in July and September 2020

Each scheduled visit should be arranged by phone for the chosen date (day and hour). Tables and computer terminals located in the Library's halls are excluded from use. We inform that any user interested in using the WUL's collections locally is required to wear a protective mask and latex gloves. At the entrance to the Library building, put on a mask, disinfect hands and put on gloves. Their use is required throughout the entire stay in the building. Next, go to the Information Point to confirm your previously arranged visit for a specific hour to the selected reading room or Informatory.

Limits of available places in the reading rooms/Informatory:

  1. Informatory:
    • up to 18 users can be in the Informatory at one time;

    • opening hours: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  2. Current and Archive Periodicals Reading Room:
    • up to 24 users can be in the reading room at one time;

    • opening hours: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  3. Silesian Collection Reading Room:
    • up to 24 users can be in the reading rooms at one time;

    • opening hours: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  4. Main Reading Room:
    • up to 48 users can be in the reading room at one time;

  5. Special Collections' Reading Room:
    • up to 14 users can be in the reading room at one time;

    • opening hours: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Note 1
In the months of July/August/September, because of the changes in the work schedule of departments serving Users, the Library will not be closed between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Disinfecting procedures will be performed before and after the departments are closed.

On Level 0 self-service cabinet are available to the users, in which you must leave outerwear and larger bags, backpacks. Cabinets will be disinfected after each using. The cloakroom remains out of use.

  1. Due to the epidemiological threat - it is not allowed to bring into the Library and use on-site own books and materials.

  2. In the visited library departments it is possible to use your own computer equipment and a Wi-Fi network available at the Wroclaw University Library, after prior notification of this need to the librarian at the Library's Information Point. In order to bring your own computer equipment to the Library, disinfect this equipment at the Information Point (the librarian will provide disposable wipes for performing a safe disinfection of electronic equipment) and then - disinfect your hands in gloves again.

  3. We would like to inform you that in the event of full occupancy of reading rooms and the Informatory, priority will be given to employees and students of the University of Wrocław, while other users will be forced to wait a little longer, depending on the pace of vacancy.

Note 2
Due to the limited number of places, users are encouraged to reduce the time of using the Library's agencies to the necessary minimum.
Bearing in mind the safety and health of users and employees of the Library, we are asking everyone to comply with the recommendations of the librarians and building security staff.
